Invite affiliates
Add an affiliate yourself, send them a welcome email, and optionally give them a Stripe discount code.
You can wait for people to apply through your signup link, or add the people you already know yourself. This article covers adding them yourself. Each person you add gets a referral code and, if you like, a welcome email with a link to activate their account.
Invite one affiliate#
Open the invite form
Go to Affiliates and click Invite affiliate. With an empty program, the same button sits in the middle of the page.
Fill in who they are
Enter their Name and Email. Ref code (optional) is the code in their links. Leave it blank and affixo generates one.
Choose the welcome email
Turn on Send a welcome email to email them that their account is ready, with a link to activate it. A Personal note (optional) of up to 500 characters is shown with your name on the page they open from the invite.
Add a discount code if you want one
Turn on Create a Stripe discount code to make a promotion code in your Stripe account for this affiliate. Set the Discount code (blank uses their ref code) and the Discount % buyers get. Sales that use the code are credited to the affiliate. This needs a connected Stripe account.
Save
Click Add affiliate.
Approve them#
Everyone you add starts as Pending. Their commissions are held until you approve them, so approve them once you've added them: open their profile and click Approve, or use the Pending tab on Affiliates. See Approve or reject applicants.
Note
The welcome email only goes out when the Invite to join email is on under GrowthEmail. If the invite form shows a paused warning, affiliate emails are paused for your whole program.
If they don't activate#
While an invite is unfinished, the affiliate's profile shows two buttons:
- Resend invite sends the welcome email again.
- Activate account finishes the invite for them. They get access to your affiliate portal right away and sign in with a one-time code sent to their email. Their invite link keeps working.
Other ways to bring people in#
- Share your signup link. With an empty program, Copy signup link on the Affiliates page copies it. New sign-ups land in the Pending tab, or join straight away if auto-approve is on.
- Import a list. Import on the Affiliates page takes a CSV. See Import affiliates from a CSV.

Yes. Someone you add starts as Pending, the same as an applicant. Sales they send are still recorded, but the commissions are held until you approve them, then released. Approve them from the Pending tab on Affiliates or with the Approve button on their profile.
Their profile shows Resend invite and Activate account. Activate account finishes the invite for them: they get access to your portal straight away and sign in with a one-time code sent to their email.
The welcome email needs an email address on the affiliate and the Invite to join email turned on under Growth › Email. The invite form warns you if affiliate emails are paused.
Yes. Click Import on the Affiliates page to upload or paste a CSV with email, name and ref_code columns. Existing emails are skipped and missing ref codes are generated. Imports are silent unless you tick Email new affiliates a welcome.
No. Every plan includes unlimited affiliates and campaigns.
