Emails your affiliates get

Which emails affixo sends your affiliates on its own, how to switch each one on or off, and how to change the wording.

Updated October 20, 2026

affixo emails your affiliates when something happens in your program: they're invited, approved, earn a commission or get paid. You choose which of these go out and, for most of them, what they say. Everything lives under GrowthEmail.

The Email menu#

The Email page has its own menu, grouped by who an email is for and whether it sends itself:

| Group | Section | What it's for | |---|---|---| | | Overview | A summary of everything, plus the pause switch | | Automatic | Event emails | Emails triggered by something in your program | | Automatic | Sequences | A timed drip after an affiliate is accepted, like day 7 and day 30 | | Automatic | Re-engagement | Emails for affiliates going quiet, driven by Affiliate Health | | Manual | Broadcasts | One-off emails you write and send | | For you | Admin alerts | Emails to you and your team, not affiliates | | Everything | Sent history | What went out | | Everything | Sender & footer | Your sender name, reply-to and email domain |

Event emails#

| Email | When it sends | Starts | Wording | |---|---|---|---| | Invite to join | When you invite or import an affiliate, with reminders on day 3 and 7 if they haven't accepted | On | Editable | | Application approved | When you approve a new affiliate | On | Editable | | Application rejected | When you reject an application | Off | Editable | | Commission earned | When an affiliate earns a commission | Off | Editable | | Payout sent | When a payout is marked paid | On | Editable | | New referral | When a lead or customer registers through the affiliate's link, once per person, never on renewals | On | Fixed | | Recruit approved | When someone who signed up through a recruit link is approved, only if a campaign pays a recruiter reward | On | Fixed | | Moved up a level | When a tier rule moves an affiliate up to a better-paying campaign | On | Fixed | | Reward handed out | When you mark a non-cash reward handed out | On | Fixed | | Monthly performance recap | On the 1st of each month, to active affiliates who had clicks, referrals or earnings the month before | Off | Fixed |

Turn an email on or off, or change its wording#

Open Event emails

Go to GrowthEmailEvent emails.

Switch an email on or off

Use the switch at the start of each row. An email that's off shows an Off pill.

Edit the wording

Click Edit on the row. Change the Subject or Message, and use Insert to add placeholders such as the affiliate's name or referral link. The preview fills them in with a sample affiliate and your real portal and link.

Test and save

Click Send test to me to see it in your inbox, then Save. Edited emails show a Custom copy pill in the list.

Fixed emails show a View button instead of Edit, and a Fixed copy pill. To undo your changes to an editable email, open it and click Reset to default copy.

Sequences#

A sequence emails each new affiliate on set days after they're accepted. Open GrowthEmailSequences and click Add starter sequence for a ready-made drip you can edit, or Start from scratch. Each step has Send this many days after acceptance, a Subject and a Message.

Pause all affiliate email#

The Overview has a Pause all button that stops every affiliate email at once. While it's paused, affiliates get no event emails, sequences or reminders, and scheduled broadcasts that come due won't send. Admin alerts still reach you. An import turns the pause on automatically. Click Resume when you're ready.

Tip

Set a reply-to address before you turn emails on. Several emails invite affiliates to reply, and without one their replies won't reach you. See Set your sender name and email domain.

Questions

Invite to join, Application approved, Payout sent, New referral, Recruit approved, Moved up a level and Reward handed out start on. Application rejected, Commission earned and Monthly performance recap start off.

You can edit the subject and message of Invite to join, Application approved, Application rejected, Commission earned and Payout sent. The others send fixed copy: you can switch them on or off and preview them, but not reword them.

Click Pause all on the Email Overview. While it's paused your affiliates get no event emails, sequences or reminders. Your own admin alerts still arrive. Click Resume to start sending again.

An import pauses it automatically, so imported affiliates don't get a burst of emails before your portal and payouts are ready. Check your setup, then click Resume.

Yes. Sent history under Email lists what went out. Each event email also shows its send count for the last 30 days.
