Move an affiliate to another campaign
Change an affiliate's primary campaign or add them to a second one, and know exactly what happens to their existing referrals and commissions.
Every affiliate has one primary campaign and can belong to more. Moving an affiliate changes which campaign is primary. It's how you promote someone to a better rate, or put them on a partner deal, without touching anything they've already earned.
Move an affiliate#
Open the affiliate
Go to Affiliates and open the affiliate's profile.
Choose Move to campaign
Click Actions, then Move to campaign. The dialog explains: they keep their other memberships, and commissions for a campaign's links use that campaign's reward.
Pick the campaign
Choose from the Campaign list. It shows every campaign that isn't archived.
Confirm
Click Move. On the profile's Links tab, the new campaign now carries the Primary badge.
What changes and what doesn't#
| | After a move | |---|---| | Commissions already earned, paid or unpaid | Unchanged. Same amounts, same affiliate. | | Existing referrals | Stay on the previous campaign. | | Their old campaign | They stay a member, and its links keep working and earning its rates. | | New sales through a campaign's links | Earn the rewards of that link's campaign. | | Their other new sales | Earn the new primary campaign's rewards. |
The move is recorded in the affiliate's level history as a manual move.
Heads up
Moving doesn't end the old campaign. If you want them to stop earning the old rates, open their Links tab, click the menu on the old campaign, and choose Block on campaign (its links stop crediting) or Remove.
Add a second campaign instead#
To let someone promote another offer without changing their primary campaign, use ActionsAdd to campaign. The list only offers campaigns they aren't in yet. Its links appear in their portal and its rewards apply to sales through those links. You can also click Add to campaign at the top of their Links tab.
Manage campaigns from the Links tab#
The Links tab lists each campaign the affiliate belongs to. The menu on each one offers Set as primary (the same as moving), Block on campaign or Unblock, and Remove. The primary campaign can't be blocked or removed; make another one primary first.
Tip
To move many people at once based on how they perform, use tier rules. See Move affiliates up with tier rules. To move applicants as you approve them, use Approve into in the Pending queue.

Questions
No. Moving never recalculates or moves an existing commission, paid or unpaid. Everything earned stays at the amount it was earned at.
Existing referrals and their commissions stay on the previous campaign. Move keeps the affiliate a member of their old campaign, so renewals and repeat payments from customers who came through that campaign's links keep earning the old campaign's rates.
A sale through a link from a campaign they're an active member of earns that campaign's rewards. The primary campaign applies to their other new sales. If you want old-campaign links to stop earning, remove them from the old campaign or block them on it from the Links tab.
Move to campaign changes which campaign is primary. Add to campaign gives them an extra campaign to promote and leaves the primary one as it is. Both keep their existing memberships.
If they're waiting for approval in that campaign, approve them from the campaign's review queue first. If they're blocked on it, unblock them from their Links tab first. Moving never approves or unblocks anyone for you.
Not for a manual move. The Moved up a level email is for tier rules, which move affiliates automatically.
