Publish and update your program rules

Write the terms affiliates accept, publish changes as new versions, and show affiliates exactly what changed.

Updated October 20, 2026

Your program rules are the terms every affiliate accepts before their portal opens. In affixo they're written as numbered sections, and every change is published as a new version. Affiliates on an older version see what changed, section by section, and accept again.

Publish or update the rules#

Open Agreement

Go to SettingsProgramAgreement. The Current agreement card shows the live version and how many affiliates accepted it. Read current agreement expands the full text.

Start a draft

Under Publish a new version, click Use starter draft for a ready-made set of rules, or Copy current version to edit what's live. The draft uses the business name from SettingsGeneral.

Edit the sections

Each section has a title and text. Use Add section, the up and down arrows, and the remove button to arrange them. Changed sections are marked Changed or New. For each one, add What changed, in one line (optional), for example "No ads on our brand name".

Add a summary

Summary of this version (optional) is shown to affiliates who are asked to accept, for example "Two rules changed: paid search and refunds."

Publish

Click Publish version, then Publish agreement in the confirmation.

Heads up

The page won't publish while it still contains placeholder details, and it asks you to confirm your legal name when the prefilled name is your workspace display name. You also need to change at least one section before a new version can go out.

What affiliates see#

  • New affiliates accept the current rules before their portal opens.
  • Existing affiliates are asked to review what changed and accept. For each changed section they see your one-line note, then Before and Now. Their links and earnings keep working while they decide.
  • If they don't agree, the rules page offers to contact you or leave the program. Leaving stops new earning; commissions they already earned are still paid.

Version history#

Version history lists every version with its title, summary, publish date, and whether it's Current or Superseded.

Limits#

Up to 40 sections, 120 characters per section title, 5,000 characters per section, 200 characters per change note and 500 characters for the summary.
