See what an affiliate sees
Open your affiliate portal as one of your affiliates, read-only, to check their numbers, links and messages before you answer a question.
When an affiliate asks "why don't I see my commission?" or "where's my link?", the quickest answer is to look at their screen. Impersonate opens your affiliate portal as that person, showing exactly what they see, without letting you change anything.
Impersonate an affiliate#
Open the affiliate
Go to Affiliates and open the affiliate's profile.
Start impersonating
Click Actions, then Impersonate. You land on the home page of their portal.
Look around
A banner at the top reads Viewing as and their name. Everything below it is their view: their dashboard, referrals, links, campaigns and payouts.
Exit
Click Exit impersonation in the banner. You're taken back to the Affiliates list.
Note
Impersonation is read-only. Actions that would change something for the affiliate are switched off while you're viewing as them, and options like leaving the program don't appear.
Good uses#
- Check that a commission shows up for them the way you expect.
- See which campaigns and links they have before you move them.
- If you use Promoter Pages (called Partner pages in your dashboard), see their personal page the way they do.
Things to know#
- It only works for team members with the Admin role.
- Starting and ending impersonation is recorded in your audit log.
- It lasts while you move around in the same browser tab. A new tab opens your normal admin view.

No. It's read-only. You see what the affiliate sees, but nothing you do there is saved for them, and options like leaving the program are hidden.
They aren't notified. Each time you start and end impersonation, an entry is written to your audit log, so your team can see who viewed whom.
