Move affiliates up with tier rules

Move affiliates to a better-paying campaign automatically when they reach a customer or revenue goal.

Updated October 20, 2026

Tier rules reward your best affiliates automatically. A tier is a campaign, so a rule simply moves an affiliate from one campaign to another when they hit a goal. Their new commissions then follow the new campaign's rates.

Before you start#

Create a campaign for each tier, with the rate you want to pay at that level. For example, "Partner" at 20% and "Gold partner" at 30%. See Create a campaign.

Create a tier rule#

Open Tier rules

Go to CampaignsTiers and click New tier rule. If you have no rules yet, click Create a tier rule.

Choose the from and to tiers

Under From tier, pick the campaign affiliates start in, or No tier (unranked affiliates). Under To tier, pick the campaign they move to.

Set the condition

Under Condition, pick Total customers, Active customers or Total revenue. Choose ≥ (up) to move people when they reach the number, or the down option to move them when they drop below it. Then enter the threshold.

Create the rule

Leave Status on Active and click Create tier rule.

How rules behave#

  • Rules are checked once a day.
  • The Tier rules page shows your tiers as a ladder, from Starting tier to Top tier, with how many affiliates each rule has moved.
  • A specific campaign membership, or a product that's set to pay through another campaign, takes precedence over the tier.
  • Set a rule's Status to Paused to skip it. Pausing a rule doesn't move anyone back.
  • Deleting a rule leaves everyone it already moved where they are.

Tip

Affiliates hear about it by email when they move up, as long as the Moved up a level email is on.

Questions

Once a day. An affiliate who crosses a threshold moves at the next daily check.

No. Their commissions follow the new tier from the move onward. What they already earned keeps its rate.

Only if you add a rule for it. Choose the down direction (less than) on a rule. Nobody moves down unless you add one.

Yes, if the Moved up a level email is on. The Tier rules page tells you whether it is.

Nobody is moved back. Affiliates already moved by the rule keep their tier. A paused rule is skipped until you set it to Active again, and a deleted rule moves no one else.

In each tier's campaign, in its Rewards section. Tier rules only decide who is in which campaign.
