Quick start: from signup to your first tracked sale
The whole setup in order: create your program, connect Stripe, install tracking, test it and invite your first affiliate.
This is the shortest path from a new account to a program that credits real sales. Each step below matches a step on the Get started checklist in your dashboard, so you can follow along there.
1. Create your program#
Right after you sign up, affixo asks you to Create your affiliate program in two steps:
- First campaign: a Program name, Where your links point (the page a referred visitor lands on), a Commission percentage, and How long it pays: First sale only or Every renewal. Click Continue.
- Your signup page: affixo shows the page affiliates use to join, with a link you can copy. Click Continue to setup checklist.
You can change all of this later in your campaign.
2. Work through Get started#
Get started sits in the sidebar until setup is done. The Go live group has the five steps that matter:
Create your program and set a commission
Done in step 1. If you skipped it, Set up program takes you to the campaign editor.
Connect Stripe
Click Connect, then Connect Stripe, and approve the connection with the Stripe account your website takes payments on. Your products are imported.
Choose which products earn commission
Click Choose products. Leave commission on for what affiliates can promote, turn it off for the rest, then click Confirm product selection.
Connect your website
Click Connect website and pick one of three ways: I'll paste it myself, Send it to my developer or AI tool, or Follow a platform guide. Publish your site, then open it. affixo shows Waiting for a visit from your website… until the first visit arrives. Full detail: Install the tracking script.
Verify your website connection
Click Run the test and follow the guided Click, Referral and Sale checks. Full detail: Test your tracking.
Heads up
If your checkout uses Stripe, make sure it passes the referral along. Without that, sales are recorded but can't be tied to the affiliate's click. See Make sure Stripe sales are credited.
3. Get your first affiliates#
The Get your first affiliates group has two steps:
- Add your portal link to your site, so people can find your program. Tick it off with Mark as done once it's there.
- Invite your first affiliate. Click Invite, or send someone your signup link. They get their own referral link as soon as they join. Start with a customer who already recommends you. See Invite affiliates.

You're live when#
The checklist reads Every launch step is done. Your program is live. From then on, clicks and Stripe sales credit your affiliates on their own, and the dashboard shows your numbers.

The Get started checklist estimates each step and shows the time left. Its estimates for the five Go live steps add up to under half an hour. Installing the snippet takes longest if someone else manages your website.
Yes. The checklist saves your place, and Get started stays in the sidebar until setup is done. Affiliates can't earn until your website is connected, so finish that before you invite anyone.
No. The Free plan has no card and no trial clock. It stays free until your affiliates have driven $2,500 in attributed revenue.
