Fix tracking that isn't working
Work out why clicks, signups or sales aren't reaching affixo, and fix the most common causes in a few minutes.
Start with Test your tracking. It tells you which part of the chain is broken (click, signup or sale) and names the most likely cause. Then find the symptom below.
No clicks or visits at all#
The status line at the top of SettingsConnectTracking & install says No tracking hits yet, or the Click check fails with "No click was recorded."
- The change isn't published. Builders often save a draft. Publish, then open your live site.
- The snippet isn't on every page. It has to be on the page the affiliate link opens. Put it in your site-wide header or layout, not on one page.
- The key is missing. The snippet's address must end in
?w=pk_followed by your key. Copy the whole line again from Manual install rather than typing it. - You're testing on a preview. If the status line says Test hits from localhost only, the snippet works on a local copy of your site. Visits from previews and localhost don't count.
- Something blocked it during the test. Turn off ad blockers and Brave shields, and allow popups for the affixo dashboard so the click test can open your site.
- You use a tag manager. The tester may say it couldn't see the snippet in your page source. That's expected with Google Tag Manager. What counts is whether the live click arrives, so check the tag fires on All Pages and the container is published.
Clicks arrive, signups don't#
The Referral check fails with "No signup arrived."
- The signup line has to run on the page people see after signing up, not on the form. If it's on the form page, every view counts as a signup.
- That page needs the tracking snippet too.
- Use a fresh email each time you test, and keep the referral code in the address bar until the signup is done.
- No signup step on your site? Use Can't right now? Simulate it and move on to the sale.
Clicks arrive, sales aren't credited#
Sales show up in ReportsConversions with no affiliate, or not at all.
- Stripe isn't connected, or it's connected to a different Stripe account than the one your checkout charges. Check SettingsMoneyStripe & products.
- The checkout doesn't carry the visitor id. This is the most common cause. Each checkout type needs a small change. See Make sure Stripe sales are credited.
- Renewals aren't credited but first payments are. With Checkout Sessions, the visitor id has to be copied into the subscription's metadata as well.
- A hosted checkout (GoHighLevel, Kajabi and similar) is matched by email. The buyer's email has to be captured on a page running the snippet. See GoHighLevel, Kajabi and other checkouts.
- You don't use Stripe. A sale event sent from the browser is recorded as a lead with no amount, because anyone could fake one. Sales from other payment providers have to be sent from your server with an API key from SettingsConnectDeveloper & API.
Sales are credited, but no commission#
- The product is marked Not earning in SettingsMoneyStripe & products.
- No commission is set. In the setup steps, Set a commission shows Nobody earns yet until a campaign has one.
- The campaign is paused. Pausing stops tracking: links stop crediting and new referrals made while it's paused earn nothing. Renewals on existing referrals keep paying.
Older clicks don't match on Safari or iPhone#
Safari and other iOS browsers can clear stored site data after about 7 days without a return visit. A click older than that may only be matched by weaker signals on those browsers. Promo codes, renewals and email matching aren't affected. If a lot of your buyers take more than a week to decide, give affiliates promo codes too.
Still stuck?#
When a test step fails, click Copy AI fix prompt and paste it into your AI builder, or open Technical details for manual installation for the exact code that step expects. If a referral was credited to the wrong person, you can move it to another affiliate or add it manually.

Questions
Tracking installed only means affixo has received at least one visit from your site. The click test checks the specific site you picked in Site to test, through a fresh test link. Make sure the snippet is on that domain and on the page the link opens, and that ad blockers are off while you test.
Most often the checkout isn't carrying the affixo visitor id, so Stripe payments can't be tied back to the click. Check the Make sure Stripe sales are credited article for your checkout type. Also check that Stripe is connected and the product is marked Earning.
Check three things: the product is marked Earning under Settings, Money, Stripe & products; the affiliate's campaign has a commission set; and the campaign isn't paused. New referrals made while a campaign is paused earn nothing.
Sometimes. Reports, Recovered sales shows sales credited to an affiliate after the fact, and how many Stripe sales still have no affiliate. If you know who referred a customer, add the referral manually from Referrals: it can bring in that customer's past Stripe sales and credits their future payments. A sale with no click, code or email to go on can't be matched automatically.
Yes. In the setup steps, the Connect your website panel has a Reset link. It clears the visits and test hits affixo recorded so the check starts fresh. Your Stripe connection, campaigns, affiliates and real conversions are kept.
