Collect tax forms
Ask affiliates for a W-9, W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E, review each one, and optionally hold payouts until a form is on file.
If you pay affiliates in the US, or need paperwork for affiliates abroad, affixo can collect their tax forms for you. Affiliates upload a W-9, W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E from their portal, and you review each one.
Start collecting#
Turn on collection
Go to SettingsMoneyPayout setup. In the Tax forms card, turn on Collect tax forms. Affiliates now see a tax-form upload area. It saves as soon as you flip it.
Decide whether to hold payouts
Turn on Hold payouts until a form is on file if nobody should be paid without one. Affiliates without a submitted or verified form are then left out of payout batches until they upload one.
Review submitted forms#
Open Tax forms
Go to SettingsMoneyTax forms. Submitted forms lists each affiliate, the form type with the last four digits of the tax ID, the legal name, country and status.
Open the form
Click Form to open the uploaded file.
Verify or reject
Click Verify if it's complete. Click Reject to send it back, add an optional Reason such as "Missing signature", then Reject tax form.
Note
A rejected form makes the affiliate ineligible for payout batches until a new form is verified. Reviewed forms keep the opposite button, so you can fix a wrong call.
Export what's on file#
Download CSV on the Tax forms page exports the affiliate, email, form type, legal name, country, last four digits of the tax ID, status, and the submitted and verified dates.

No. affixo collects and stores the forms, and you can export what's on file as a CSV. Any filing stays with you or your accountant.
Not on its own. Only Hold payouts until a form is on file does that. With the hold on, an affiliate is paid once their form is submitted or verified.
The affiliate sees your reason next to the form so they know what to fix, and is left out of payout batches until a new form is verified. If you rejected by mistake, click Verify on the same row.
Team members with the Admin or Finance role. Each time someone opens an uploaded form, it's recorded in your audit log, and the download link expires after 60 seconds.
