Referral program
A referral program rewards a company's existing customers for introducing new paying customers, usually through a shareable link or code built into the product.
Referral programs differ from affiliate programs mainly in who does the promoting: existing customers rather than external marketers. Rewards are often double-sided — both the referrer and the new customer receive an incentive — and the experience typically lives inside the product itself.
Well-designed referral programs tie the reward to a real payment, so an incentive is only granted once the referred person becomes a paying customer, not merely a free signup.
With affixo, referral rewards fire on a Stripe billing event, and the referral experience can be white-labeled and embedded directly in a company's own app.
