Cookie stuffing

Cookie stuffing is an affiliate fraud technique that drops tracking cookies onto users who never clicked an affiliate link, so the affiliate is falsely credited for conversions they did not drive.

It is typically done by loading hidden affiliate URLs through iframes, images or scripts, capturing last-click credit from purchases the user would have made anyway.

Server-side attribution tied to genuine billing events, plus anomaly detection on click-to-conversion patterns, makes cookie stuffing far less effective.
